For companies that want overseas reach, through backhaul, local access and capacity use in international network structures, or through agreements with international providers.
The International Private Line is a high and medium capacity point-to-point international transport service for companies requiring overseas communication and the structure capacity of Entel’s international network. It also provides local access installation.
The service is private and protocol transparent, allowing for high levels of performance, security and confidentiality.
The service is provided as “Full Channel” in which Entel Wholesale provides both international ends of the service. The service is principally supported by the latest generation international fiber optic cables in Latin America.
The service’s target sectors are principally data network providers, Internet access providers and cable TV operators.
Principal applications for clients are the creation of their international backbone and high speed, private connections to the Tier 1 Internet backbone in the USA.
Optionally, the services offer the capacity of contracting local access redundancy through two completely independent physical fiber routes.
Service quality is assured by Entel’s NOC (Network Operations Center), responsible for monitoring, administrating and coordinating the international network 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Its mission is to minimize whatever impact to clients stemming from network maintenance or faults.
Transmission rates from 2Mbps (E1) to STM-64.
Standard coverage in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Mexico and the USA. Other countries are possible with special projects.
Transmission rates of NxE1, STM-1, STM-4, STM-4, STM-64, 1Gbps and 10Gbps.
The service has 3 basic configurations that if required by clients can have additional elements to international capacity, such as local access, equipment in clients’ premises and an IP access door to the Internet Tier-1 backbone in the USA. Depending on the configuration, the frontier point is established denoting the limit of service responsibility.
